The Rockdale Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender III. Applicants must have the required skills to perform the responsibilities including, but not limited to, advocating for clients at all stages of criminal proceedings, developing and presenting mitigation evidence, conducting legal research, preparing motions, negotiating case resolutions, and representing clients in court hearings and trials. Preference will be given to candidates with significant felony trial experience, particularly in cases involving homicide, sex offenses, gang-related crimes, DUI, and vehicular homicide. Applicants must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.

Description of Duties: The Assistant Public Defender III will provide competent and zealous representation and advocacy to indigent clients.
