The Brunswick Judicial Circuit Public Defenders Office is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender IV. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position. This Assistant Public Defender will be responsible for preparing and presenting cases for trial and entering pleas, conducting legal research, preparing and presenting complex documents, pleading compilation, orders, etc. Applicants must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. A strong commitment to indigent defense is also required.

Description of Duties: The Assistant Public Defender IV will provide competent and zealous representation and advocacy to indigent clients. This position is performed as an expert attorney, assigned to serious, high-profile, and significant felony cases, as well as represent clients in cases including the most serious, complex legal cases assigned to the office. Performs other related duties as assigned.
