GPDC is excited to announce that registration is now open for our 2022 Gang Defense Conference!
The FREE three-day conference will take place at the Hilton Peachtree City Atlanta Hotel & Conference Center from Wednesday, October 26 to Friday, October 28, 2022.
The program will begin with lunch on Wednesday, October 26, and adjourn at 1 PM on Friday, October 28. All conference meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner during the program, will be provided at No COST to all attendees.
The Gang Defense Conference is open to public defenders, alternate public defenders, and GPDC contract attorneys. Registration is open until 5:00 PM on October 15. Registration and CLE credit are FREE to all attendees.
Twelve hours of CLE Credit are pending with the State Bar of Georgia. GPDC will pay the CLE fees for all attendees.
There are several lodging options on the registration form; you will be required to select one when you register for the conference. Please read the information below carefully before registering.
GPDC has secured a room block for all GPDC employees at the Conference Center Hotel. This option includes state-paid public defenders, SPCRS, alternative public defenders, and county-paid employees. Circuits will be invoiced for the cost of county employee lodging ($169/night + tax and fees for single occupancy, $85/night for double occupancy). The deadline for GPDC to secure your hotel reservation is October 15. If you require a room after this date, you must make your own reservation.
For your convenience, GPDC has secured a room block at the Conference Center Hotel. The room block rate is $169/night. + taxes and fees. To make a reservation, call the Hilton at (770) 487-2000 and ask for the GPDC block. The deadline to make a reservation in the block is October 14.
Any participant who registers for the training may cancel their registration five business days before the start of the training event without incurring any liability.
You must be registered for the training to be eligible for reimbursement. No reimbursement will be made for meals provided at the training. If you have questions about using the Concur website, please email Laurie Olney, GPDC’s Fiscal Director.
For state-paid personnel, travel by state government vehicle is required when a government vehicle is available. If no government vehicle is available, a rental car must be used when it is the most economical form of transportation. See State Travel Regulation 2.3.
