The Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender I and Assistant Public Defender II in the DeKalb County Office. The primary responsibilities include representing indigent clients with criminal case(s) in both Superior and Juvenile Courts. Applicants must have the required skills to perform the responsibilities for the position. Applicants must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia or be waiting on the Georgia Bar exam results.

Description of Duties: The Assistant Public Defenders will provide competent and zealous representation and advocacy to indigent clients. Emphasis will be placed upon candidates’ demonstrated commitment to indigent defense. Performs other related duties as required.
