The Southwestern Judicial Circuit Office is looking for a Criminal Investigator Supervisor. This position serves Sumter County. The Criminal Investigator Supervisor guides, and/or instructs the work assignments of subordinate staff, as well as investigate cases from inception through trial. This position will work cooperatively with attorneys to develop strong client relationships, defense theories, and evidence supporting thereof, prepare reports of interviews and developments in case investigation. This position calls for extensive investigative experience. The ability to investigate crimes and effectively communicate with various individuals, including clients is preferred.

Description of Duties: Performs complex investigative work. Conducts investigations to include assisting in interviewing witnesses, complainants and/or law enforcement officials and preparing reports on findings in preparation for cases. Investigates alleged or suspected violations of Federal, state, or local laws, rules, and regulations to determine if evidence is sufficient to recommend prosecution or to report finds to the appropriate jurisdictional authority for their action. Supervises subordinate staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
