Rockdale Judicial Circuit – Assistant Public Defender III (County-funded)


The Rockdale Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender III.  This position will be serving Rockdale County.  The primary responsibilities include representing indigent clients with criminal case(s) in Superior Court.  Applicants must have the required skills to perform the responsibilities for the position.  First Chair experience is preferred in at least three major felony trials such as homicide, armed robbery, as well as sex related crimes.  Applicants must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia with five years Superior Court trial experience.

Description of Duties: The Assistant Public Defender III will provide competent and zealous representation and advocacy to indigent clients. This position performs as a lead attorney, assigned to serious, high-profile, and significant felony cases.  Performs other related duties as required.
