Piedmont Judicial Circuit – Assistant Public Defender III (Barrow County)


The Piedmont Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office is seeking to fill an Assistant Public Defender III position. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the position. Primary duties include representing indigent clients in all phases of criminal proceedings, including arraignment, pretrial hearings, trial preparation, plea negotiations, trial, and sentencing.  This position involves extensive courtroom and trial representation. The chosen applicant will be a member in good standing with the State of Georgia Bar and have a strong commitment to indigent criminal defense.

Description of Duties: The Assistant Public Defender III will provide competent and zealous representation and advocacy to indigent clients.
