The Northeastern Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office is seeking to fill an Assistant Public Defender II position. This position serves the Dawsonville/Dawson County area. Primary duties include representing indigent clients with criminal case(s) in Superior Court. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position, including not limited to, preparation and presentation of cases for trial and entering of pleas. Under supervision, the attorney will also be responsible for conducting legal research, including researching precedents in cases, preparation and dissemination of complex documents, pleading compilation, orders, etc.
