The Enotah Judicial Circuit is seeking to fill an Assistant Public Defender IV position. This office serves White and Lumpkin Counties. The primary duties include representing indigent clients with criminal case(s) in Superior Court. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position. This Assistant Public Defender will be responsible for preparing and presenting cases for trial and entering pleas, conducting legal research, preparing and presenting complex documents, pleading compilation, orders, etc. Applicant must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. A strong commitment to indigent defense is also required.

Description of Duties: The Assistant Public Defender IV will be responsible for providing competent and zealous legal representation and advocacy to indigent clients. This position performs as Chief Litigator assigned to serious, high-profile, and significant felony cases, as well as represent clients in cases including the most serious, legal complex cases assigned to the office. Performs other related duties as assigned.
