The Augusta Judicial Circuit is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender IV. We are seeking an attorney with trial experience who can join a felony trial team immediately upon hiring. Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to indigent defense, client-centered representation, and aggressive trial practice.
Before starting, the applicant must be a member of the Georgia Bar and be admitted before the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
The Augusta Judicial Circuit is the 3rd largest public defender’s office in Georgia, with approximately 34 attorneys, 7 investigators, and 16 support staff. We are a Gideon’s Promise partner office.
