Alternate Public Defender (Mid South) – Assistant Public Defender II


The Alternate Public Defender Mid South Office is seeking to fill an Assistant Public Defender II position.  This office serves the Cordele, Oconee and Tifton Circuits in the Crisp, Dodge, and Tift counties.

Description of Duties: The Assistant Public Defender II will provide competent and zealous representation and advocacy to indigent clients. This position performs as an attorney, assigned to serious, high-profile, and significant felony and appellate cases, as well as all other criminal matters in the Superior Court.  To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university and a license to practice law in the State of Georgia.  Performs other related duties as required.
