Clayton CPD Sworn-In

GPDC is pleased to announce that Alfonso Kraft Jr. was sworn-in as the Circuit Public Defender for the Clayton Judicial Circuit on September 1, 2021.

Mr. Kraft has served in a variety of roles within the court system and brings a wealth of practical experience to his new role. He worked as an APD in the Clayton Circuit, as a prosecutor in Troup County Juvenile Court, as a Conflict Defender in the Stone Mountain Circuit, and as an Appeals APD in the Coweta Circuit. He also operated The Kraft Firm, LLC, a private criminal defense firm focusing on appellate cases. Mr. Kraft possesses an MBA from the University of Kentucky and earned his JD at Georgia State University’s College of Law.

GPDC looks forward to all that Mr. Kraft will accomplish on behalf of the Clayton Circuit Office and its indigent clients.
