The Griffin Judicial Circuit Public Defender office is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant I or Administrative Assistant II. The level will be determined based on years of experience. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities for the position. The primary job duties include: providing clerical assistance to the attorneys and investigators in the Circuit Public Defender office; assisting with the preparation and filing of pleadings, motions and legal documents; taking applications, scheduling appointments, hearings and other matters; answering telephones and emails; organizing and maintaining the attorneys’ hearing and trial calendars; greeting, contacting and assisting clients; maintaining and entering information into the case management system. Applicants should understand that this organization’s goal is to provide quality, client-centered representation to all clients. Superior organization and administrative skills are required. Prior experience is preferred.
