Assistant Public Defender III

The Eastern Judicial Circuit Public Defender Office is seeking to fill one (1) Assistant Public Defender III position. Primary duties include representing indigent clients with criminal cases in the Superior Court of Chatham County. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the position. Applicants must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. Emphasis will be placed upon candidates' demonstrated commitment to indigent defense.  Juris Doctorate from an accredited college or university AND license to practice law in the State of Georgia AND 3 years experience in the area of criminal law required for this position. Preference will be given to candidates who have 5 or more years of criminal defense experience.  Interested applicants should send a cover letter, resume, and State of Georgia Sensitive Position Application to Daniel Crovatt, Operations Director at: This email address is being protected from spambots.
