Assistant Public Defender I

The Athens Regional Conflict Defender Office is seeking to hire an Assistant Public Defender I to work primarily in the five counties of the Northern Circuit (Hart, Elbert, Franklin, Madison, and Oglethorpe).  Primary duties include representing indigent clients with criminal case(s) in Superior Court. The office is located in Athens, Georgia.  A state vehicle is available for use. Applicants must meet the qualifications and have the necessary skills to perform the job duties for the position. The chosen candidate must be a current member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia, possess a strong commitment to indigent defense, and be available to begin working July 1, 2018.
